The club membership year runs from 1st February each year to 31st January of the following year. All members will complete a renewal form at the start of each year to extend their club membership for another year.
The annual club membership fee for 2013-2014 remains at £30. This has not been increased since 2006.
Additionally, all swimmers must be members of the ASA. This membership brings a range of benefits to the individual and to the club - see the ASA website for more information. Swimmers who will enter licensed galas during the year pay an ASA membership fee (category 2) of £25.20. Swimmers who will only swim within the club and at local unlicensed galas can pay an ASA membership fee (category 1) of £7.60. HOWEVER, as a competitive club we expect members to compete in licensed galas so to have category 2 membership. Further details are provided with the renewal letter. There is an additional payment to the ASA North East Region to affiliate our swimmers to them - this is paid by the club.
From May 2013, we have moved to charging a monthly fee per squad - this covers all expenses for coaching and pool hire - previously there was a monthly coaching fee and then a payment on each visit to the pool.
These payments are taken by monthly standing order on the 20th of each month, per the table below. The 'sibling' rate applies when a brother or sister is also a club member - the sibling rate is applied to the swimmer in the lower squad.
