Entry to C Squad
Swimmers shall be aged 7-11 to join the club in C squad - and should have a basic understanding of all four strokes.

Potential new members shall be assessed in their performance of the strokes and in their level of commitment over a trial period of four weeks. During this period, the swimmer must commit to attending at least two sessions per week. Age will be taken into account in the assessment of the swimmer's progress during this time - we would expect older swimmers to make more of a commitment and to progress more rapidly. Entry to Other Squads The main criteria for entry into the other squads is that the swimmers demonstrate an ability to train at the required standard for that squad. They must also meet the age and attendance criteria. Again, potential new entrants to A and B squad will be assessed during a four week trial period to assess commitment and attendance as well as ability to train to that standard. Trial Periods For insurance purposes, all potential new members (except those transferring from other clubs where they are ASA registered) will be required to complete both club and ASA membership forms at the start of the four week trial period. As with other members they will be expected to pay a £10 monthly session fee to cover this period. Club and ASA membership fees will only become liable when the swimmer successfully completes a trial and wishes to join the club.
